Testmate Health is developing a rapid at home urine based self-test that, for the first time, will provide results in minutes for the four common sexually transmitted infections (STD). Our test kit replaces the status quo where STD can only be diagnosed in a lab and takes up to seven days for a result. Testmate is supported by digital health and allows quick follow-up in the case of a positive test. From a user perspective, the kit is just like a pregnancy test – quick and reliable, providing a rapid result that can be easily interpreted by anyone, anytime. rqmicro AG was founded by a research group of ETH Zurich with the aim of protecting consumers worldwide from microbiologically contaminated water and food. rqmicro designed a rapid detection platform for Legionellosis respiratory disease in water samples that enables fast and convenient tests in lab and on-site. Accurate results within 2 hours are achieved through the combination of immunomagnetic separation with flow cytometry in a disposable microfluidic cartridge. This technology aims to replace unreliable existing and decentralized tests that take 10 days to perform the same, often inaccurate analysis.
